About Debby
Debby Wiens came to Tahoe from Oklahoma, where she studied at the University of Oklahoma School of Music. After moving to Tahoe in 1988, she founded the Allegro School of Music and earned her BA in music, with an emphasis in piano, plus a K-8 teaching credential, from Sierra Nevada College.
She specialized in Early Childhood Music Education and taught Kindermusik for 20 years, directed children's choirs and hand bell ensembles for 10 years, and served as accompanist for The Village Church in Incline Village for 32 years. She rang hand bells professionally for 15 years and has performed with the Reno Philharmonic and internationally.
Her mission is simple: to bring joy and a love of music to all students.
