Music has always been a profound and transformative force in my life. Listening to and making music has been a cathartic experience, capable of changing my mood and providing a soundtrack to my life's celebrations, family moments, friendships, reflections, support, learning, and inspiration.

As a board member of the Tahoe Truckee School of Music, I'm most excited about the school's role as a central hub for making music connections. TTSM is the go-to destination for everything related to music, offering lessons, events, instruments, and networking opportunities. It serves as a vital resource for anyone looking to engage with the vibrant music community in Truckee.

Although I set aside my guitar years ago to pursue other interests, a friend's introduction to TTSM's Song Group rekindled my passion for music. This experience led me to join the Board of Directors, where I began coordinating Song Group sessions and performing at open mics with other TTSM musicians. My involvement grew as I eventually joined a couple of bands, all thanks to a little nudge from a friend and the incredible experiences provided by TTSM.

Music is truly alive in Truckee, and I am thrilled to be part of an organization that fosters such a dynamic and inspiring music scene.
